Distance Education classes are delivered via interactive video conferencing. Tribal community members located in New Mexico, regardless of location within the state, are able to receive courses via interactive video conferencing. Courses are offered in the late afternoons, evenings, and weekends to offer flexibility and to accommodate adult learners.
- Students in courses using teleconferencing technology must have regular access to a computer/tablet with internet connectivity during the days and times the class meets.
- Students should expect to spend three to five hours each week online, and an hour a day (or more) studying for each online course.
- Brightspace is the learning management system (LMS) SIPI utilizes. Brightspace is used for posting of assignments, taking tests/quizzes, to view posted class content, etc.
- Students taking online/classes will receive login information for Brightspace during the Orientation held before the start of the trimester or will need to contact the Brightspace Administrator.
